LocalField Focus Error w/ SkyX

Hello all,

Happy New Year.

While running focus last night with an FLI Camera connected via the SkyX x2 Plugin, I consistently received this error:

Has anyone seen this error before and can advise on how to resolve?

Happy New Year …

I experienced the same error with a FLI 16803. Seems huge image determine a premature flag of imageready in TSX DCOM object. LocalField doesn’t save image and this mean to access directly to a memory that result null. I ask to TSX developer info about. You can now workaround using a bin2 that work with loss of precision or reducing the % of sensor to 60/70%. I worked with FLI16200 and 29050 without problems but i think depends on PC.

Sorry but is not too simple to abstract retrieve of ImageArray from all the camera control allowed in Voyager. Also for me its difficult to have access to a camera like yours that are of professional grade. I can arrange a delay in Voyager to avoid this but i’m not sure is only timing question …

No problem. Another interesting thing, is that if I use the FLI ASCOM driver in SkyX instead of the x2 Plugin, I do not seem to have the problem occur. Similarly, a friend uses an Atik camera in SkyX with the x2 Atik plugin, and it seems to work just fine as well.

Could be something wrong with the x2 FLI Plugin. I will try bin 2x2 though.

The camera I am using is the FLI ML16200.

You bet. I will report back once the sky clears up and I have a chance to test.

Works perfectly binned 2x2. Focus runs smooth, and the results are excellent.
