I like to run my focuser all the way in at the end of the night, so the next time I start up, it would be nice if the setup had an option to set the initial focuser position, before it starts the autofocus routine; it won’t find focus if it starts all the way in. Is there an option anywhere to set the initial focuser position, and to run the focuser all the way in at the end of a sequence? I couldn’t find anything, but that doesn’t mean much…
You can just add a “Robofire Focuser Move To” in the end of your DragScript. You can even move it back to where you start if you create a variable to remember your start position.
Or, if you focuser isn’t way off in the beginning of the day, you can point your scope to zenith, do a “simple GoTo robostar” (without plate solving), and do a “focus on place”. This should get you into focus.
