The Cocoon Nebula from Los Angeles

It’s been a while since I’ve posted a shot, and quite some time since I had something worth posting. This is the Cocoon Nebula, as seen from my Bortle 7/8 sky near Los Angeles, California, USA. I wanted to showcase the dusty trail behind the nebula but, as always, the challenge was pulling usable signal out of the light pollution and taming gradients. The data was captured with my Stellarvue 80 mm refractor, QHY268M mono camera, and Mach1 mount. The sessions were controlled flawlessly by Voyager Advanced. Details are on AstroBin. Thanks for looking.
