Auto connect TSX for guiding

I’m currently using ASCOM mount and SkyX for guiding. Voyager connects to all equipment but I believe I still have to manually connect Sky X to the mount (i.e “telescope> connect” ) for the guiding function otherwise guiding will not occur. I was wondering if perhaps there is a way that you could automate the connection without having to go into SkyX to do it manually.
Thanks
Dave

Ok let me amplify on this question. As I mentioned I am using ASCOM mount and SkyX for guiding. As far as I can see you cannot auto-connect Sky X to an ASCOM mount in Voyager via the start panel or any other basic way. This connection is needed for guide commands to be executed.
Is there anyone who has this combination of equipment and if so what if anything have you done to automate this connection?
Thanks
Dave

maybe I misunderstand the question but cant you just choose skyX as the mount in Voyager and then configure the mount in SkyX as an Ascom driver controlled mount?

this is what I do and use skyX for guiding at the same time works for me.

What mount are you using? I am using 10 Micron and found when trying that way there was strange behavior with tracking. Seems to work a lot better with direct Voyager to mount connection for pointing, tracking etc.
Thanks
Dave

im using an astrophysics mount (AP900)

In Voyager you can select like mount control an ASCOM driver or TheSkyX or TheSky6
Voyager will connect the mount for you when you connect the setup.

If you have the mount configured in theskyx but not theskyx like mount in Voyager you must do manually or with an exernal script. In this case you have select a wrong way to work for what is usual. But its up to you. If you think your mount do not work fine with theskyx I think is better to check the settings in theskyx or ask SB for a remote support
