Autofocus backlash

Since I changed from Celestron focuser to Pegasus Focus Cupe, I have a backlash. I’m not shure, but I could imagine that this backlash is also depending on the temperatur.
This can be compensated in the Voyager Autofocus. But wouldn’t it be better to change the focus routine in that way that after calculating the focus point the focuser will be set to the initial value of the V-curve and then pointed to the optimal focus value. So the focuser should be at the correct positon becaus there is no backlash.

No Andre,

you must use the backlash compensation (that do not depends on temperature) during the autofocus routine.

All the best
