Hi there,
I just did my first short shooting night with Voyager yesterday, and I was confused on how to setup the software to do the first autofocus of the night with the filter that I am about to image with. I didn’t see any flag that clearly makes it happen. My setup for Vcurve has Lum filter selected, my concern is that robofire doesn’t change to red for focusing when this is my first filter until it gets to the point where time/temperature/altitude/# exposures orders a new focusing routine.
And in regards to Vcurve, should we run Vcurve for every single filter he have in the filter wheel??
Thanks
Miguel
I’ll take a stab on this but perhaps this is exactly Leo doesn’t like questions in forum: answered by another guy who doesn’t know the “correct” answer lol.

I understand that Vcurve measures/characterizes focusing profile w.r.t. focuser drawtube position, and that’s constant for all your filters, just with offsets, so Vcurve with one filter should be sufficient for all other filters.

If you are doing DragScript, you specify which filter to use for autofocus. You can also specify in Sequence to start with an autofocus with the filter to be used next. I probably don’t get what senario you are worrying, but I am sure whatever you want to do, you can do it via DragScript.

Just check inject focus on start in onstart tab of sequence configuration:

For Vcurve just one filter is necessary, usually the luminance or generally a broadband filter.
