In the voyager wiki, regarding array-setting, it says that you should give the slave a name, enter the IP address and the port. The first instance (= master?) has 5950, the other three then 5951 to 5954. WIKI
When I open my slave and look in the application server monitor, I find the port 5950 next to the IP address. The same applies to the master.
Therefore, I cannot specify port 5951 in the array setting for the first slave, because then no connection is established. It works with 5950. However, since I am currently having difficulties with the stability of the connection between the master and slave, I am looking for all eventualities. Where and how can I change the port in Voyager or how can I make it so that my slave can also connect to port 5951?
As I told you, the assignment cannot be configured server side. In the array configuration the port to use is based on the instance you select to be used as a node
I appreciate your efforts very much! My computer skills are a bit very rudimentary for some things in this field, so real beginner questions come up.
Now I also understand that “instance” refers to the instances on ONE PC, and then the second instance on that PC gets port 5951, etc. I had referred “instances” to the number of open outputs of Voyager on different PCs - namely 1 instance on the master PC and 1 instance on the slave PC.
