Is it possible to use drag script to call a script that will change an ASCOM driver setting?
I’m asking because I’m troubleshooting an ASCOM mount driver setting that keeps changing randomly/periodically. (‘Direct-Guide’ setting in SB Bisque mount driver switches from enabled to disabled at random) So while I troubleshoot with Bisque, I’d like to use drag script to ensure this setting is set prior to any imaging sequence beginning. Then if it flips and guiding errors out, it would set it back it back before attempting a new sequence run. (instead of ruining a nights imaging with continual guiding errors)
Yes, you can. I do that capability to start de-rotation on my rotator, by sending mouse clicks to the rotator driver. You use the “External Script” command.
Hey Tim, sorta both. I’m using a Paramount with The SkyX for most things but I’m using ASCOM in order to use PHD2. I figured out the issue, it is a setting in PHD2 that you need to have checked. ‘Stop Guiding when Mount Slews’. This needs to be turned on or the Paramount ASCOM driver will shut off direct guide when a slew happens and then you are done for. All good now…
