Here’s a sneak peek at the latest updates I’m developing for the Voyager Web Dashboard (thank you, Leonardo, for your trust)—there’s plenty to get excited about!
What’s New?
Remote Sequence Configurator: Simplifying remote sequence setup and management like never before.
FoV Altitude Graph: Displays the center FoV altitude alongside the Moon curve, phase details, and real-time simulations based on your location, offering even more precise and intuitive planning.
What’s Better?
Behind the scenes, I’ve been working hard to optimize performance and refine the codebase. Key improvements include:
Faster execution speeds for smoother interactions.
Enhanced math calculations for improved accuracy and efficiency.
Preparations for future feature implementations.
The attached screenshot showcases some of these features in action, such as the FoV overlay, the Altitude chart (including the Moon curve), and Moon phase visualization.
Asap, I’ll share more info about the remote sequence configurator and additional GUI updates. A testing phase will follow.
We’re excited to bring these tools to the astrophotography community and would love to hear your feedback or suggestions. Every comment helps make this project even better!
Stay tuned for the next update, and as always, clear skies!
That looks pretty exciting, I sometimes have a friends equipment here at home and if I set up a VPN for him, the ability to configure a sequence remotely would be a game changer for him. It would let him directly do things that often need my manual intervention while his equipment is here.
The Altitude graph would be very useful too, I commonly select a target to have a look at that within Voyager.
Francesco - this is great news! As an educator and obs. manager, it would be great to see more development on the dashboard so students could do with Voyager-controlled systems while not having to learn Voyager or SkyX in depth.
A couple things I’d like to see:
better integration with RoboTarget - the ability to submit/edit target slot requests.
more users - leave the admin, but add a “student” user that has limited permissions
more stable dashboard - we find it logs us out after several minutes
the easier customization - specifically the ability to place links to dynamic images (all sky cameras, weather readouts etc). ACP already does this.
Robotarget have a dedicated Manager and dedicated WebPortal so you will not find it in Dashboard
Web dashboard is limited by the browser policy and from the browser you are using, if you are connected without logout and minimize or change page tab will be open for ever
link to all sky and weather is a personalization of web dashboard already exist , so you just need to contact Francesco about, is not free of charge
