Guiding switch on and off

Hi al

I am running RoboTarget sequences and and I wonder if I could switch guiding on and off when I run sequences with the RoboTarget. My mount does allow unguided tracking which is relatively Ok, so I wondered if this switch would be possible. I need this when sequence is going through clouds and guiding becomes very irrational and it had cases when mount just stopped and the sequence went to emergency stop. I know that I can abort and change the sequence settings and restart this all over again, but this is a long way of doing it. Possibly, some good ways of treating it do exist.
Thank you,
Grigory

In addition to this. I found that I can setup a sequence without guiding and then when I want to guide I can just switch on PHD2 and the sequence would be going on. If I want to switch off guiding it would be switched off and sequence still continues. Is it a possible way of doing it?

This is a question I had as well. For science targets, I’d prefer guiding, but would rather a poor observation vs. no data. Maybe it could be handled in the sequence setup with a checkbox that says, “guider failure is not an emergency”?

Use a base sequence without guiding. This will solve the problem.
If you want a target with guide use the base sequence with guide enabled otherwise use the base sequence with guide disabled.
