I recently updated my targets to include the new moon up/down constraints. Tonight, the moon was down for about an hour and then rises almost full. My dragscript ran and Robotarget imaged for the hour. Once the moon rise time came, imaging stopped. I have Roland’s recommended dragscript actions for Robotarget. So, there would be no active targets all night since the moon is near full all night but Robotarget just keeps repeating every minute and skipping again. How could I change constraints or my dragscript to move to an exit event if there are no further targets for the night? Could it move to a suspend event if target will be available later or exit if no targets will be available all night? Maybe this is beyond the current capabilities?
Answer is no, if you put 90% is for all night the unsafe.
If moon is over 90% I think do something that is not narrow target is an error so cant be cover your request.
I’ve put in a counter for a skipped RoboTarget so it will repeat 3 times with a delay of 30 minutes. When the counter hits 3, it raises the emergency exit event.
It appears that the Moon down target constraint is exclusive of the Moon Phase in Wait safe, they can’t really be used together at high moon illumination.
Well, my counter and calling exit event didn’t work. Since the moon is now up, RoboTarget skips all the targets, sleeps for 60s and starts again. I have a wait time set for 30 min. I can’t see where the 60s seconds is coming from, and it won’t go forward to my raise exit event.
Chris, the Wait Safe with moon phase constraint, check only the moon phase at time of check. Nothing is related to RoboTarget. Isn’t a check on moon down. Just not report safe if moon phase at time of check is greater or equal to the value selected.
Skipped in RoboTarget means night is not reached , anything else.
So put a counter in this way just count the time RoboTarget is skipped for night not reached.
60s is the checking time of Action, you cannot change or interfere with it.
Voyager can exit from RoboTarget action only if night is finished or not started, a big internal error is throw, emergency events incoming and you have managed it in DragScript.
So if no targets are available for the night, RoboTarget will continue to try anyway? It would be a good feature that it should shut down if no targets are available.
Hi Chris, answer is yes. You cannot know if there are target ready during the night or not so is not a good feature to shutdown also because if you add target or shot RoboTarget in any time it will start.
Its up to you to fill the RoboTarget with targets.
