Is there a way to measure seeing through Dragscript?

Hello,

I was looking inside all th “Guiding” actions of Voyager Dragscript but can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.
Basically I would like to measure the seeing and make decision inside my multi-target Dragscript. When I do that “manually” after PHD2 calibration I would trigger guiding but disabling corrections on both axis, and would use the DEC RMS error as an estimate of seeing.

How coul I do something similar at the beginning of each target imaging sequence in my Dragscript?

Clear skies

I wonder if you select Max HFD Value Allowed (or Zero detect) under the AutoFocus tab in the setup if that it would at least fail the focus session - which you could maybe trigger an event to move to the next object if it doesn’t meet the HFD set once the autofocus has completed. If that value could be setup in DragScript you might be able to assign an HFD for each object. Just an idea - but not sure if it would work or not. There might also be other variables that would work (sorry fairly new to dragscript). Best of Luck - Paul

Hi Antoine

better way is to use always the same parts of sky and do a localfield autofocus and evaluate the HFD to decide the seeing.

HFD is a metric for autofocus (and work perfectly in out of focus situation) and not for seeing but are in anycases related to seeing and with localfield is an average.

Select different areas based on period of the year.
