Hi,

I want to share another southern jewel I captured completely unattended with Voyager

I think your colors were tastefully done! Nice photo.

Hello José!

I like open star clusters very much - here also the environment is interesting, this makes a very exciting image!

No apology necessary, José, I like the colors! Well done.

How do you go about blending Ha into your RGB image?

Best,

Glenn

I create a pure RGB image and I process it, stretched, saturation etc etc, then I process the Ha channel, and create an HaRGB image using Ha as L. I rebalance the colors of the HaRGB image and heavily saturate the reds. Then I mix the HaRGB with the pure RGB image using pixelmath.

Thank you for the explanation. I have never been satisfied with the look of my HaRGB images but I never tried blending them back in with the original RGB versions. I can’t wait to try it now. Thanks again, and congrats on another great image.

Best,

Glenn
