Photometry Defocusing

Hello,

Don’t think I see this option anywhere and have not seen it discussed, so I will ask the question here.

Is there an option to defocus stars to a minimum HFD (or FWHM,…) automatically? Once a focus curve has been modeled it shouldn’t be too difficult to do this automatically.

Defocusing is useful for photometry when there needs to be more pixel coverage on a star(s). Perhaps others have found a way in voyager?

Also, my automation mixes astrophotography and photometry, so ideally the defocus option should be a sequence option.

Hello,

you can add final offset to focus steps, when focus is finished, in Advanced box Focus Final Offset +/- Steps:

Just calculate the right steps that work for you.
