Update on using ZWO AM5 Mount in remote location

After using 8 ZWO AM5 mounts with Voyager in remote observatories for the past few months, I am happy to report I’ve only had one problem that has recurred. It has nothing to do with Voyager, but I thought I would share the problem and a work around. You cannot rely on the park command to aways work. It might be a ASCOM issue, but because it only happens about 5% of the time it may be a hardware issue.
We have found to achieve 100% reliability with parking, via your dragscript you must issue a home command and then use a goto alt/az to simulate the parking command. For our systems we use ALT +01 00 00, AZ 271 00 00 as the settings. This puts OTA nearly parallel with the floor and the scope is pointing west.

Hope this helpful to a few of you.
