Release 2.3.0 - Built 2021-01-21 - INFO
⦁ Voyager moved to release 2.3.0. A new management of the internal SDK drivers and some changes to the graphic interface engine and to the profile management have been introduced to make room for new features. Also the Online Update service has been changed, now an installation package will be downloaded directly as for the normal Download. For this reason, the download of the new release 2.3.0 of Voyager is not automatic but by your direct will. To update you need to download the installation from the official Voyager website:https://software.starkeeper.it/#download_voyager_section
⦁ It is recommended to make a copy of the Voyager profiles folder, found under Documents in the Voyager folder. The folder to be copied is called Profile
⦁ The new installation will overwrite the previous one unless you used a different folder during a manual or compressed file installation. However, you can go back by downloading an old installation from the Official site. Profiles and all data are compatible with release 2.2.x and earlier
⦁ The Update button will not update the release but it will cause an error if you use it, do not use it
⦁ Once Voyager Release 2.3.0 has been installed, the automatic download service will automatically be active.
⦁ For any help or clarification, do not hesitate to contact assistance in the manner indicated in the license email

[New] For compatibility with ASI cameras and with the management mode used up to SDK 1.16.0 by the native Voyager driver, the camera control has been left selectable, it has its SDK 1.16.0 reserved in the platform structure of the installation (platform \ ASI \ V1)
[New] Added second Viking client for second Viking instance control (Viking version 1.0.24 or later required)
[New] Added to Voyager the auto backup of the current profile folder in a dedicated ProfileBackup folder, the saving takes place automatically at start-up and before the online update with folder indicating the complete save date. It is possible to indicate the maximum age of the backups in Configuration-> Tab Voyager. Voyager will also remove the older ones

[Mod] Strengthened management code for the frame tracking during SKYFLAT and the restore of the initial tracking condition of the frame at the end of SKYFLAT
[Mod] Strengthened Viking Client Management
[Mod] In case of multiple EXIT or SUSPEND events, the event is now generated at the expiry of the shortest integration between the various active sources
[Mod] The QHY Beta SDKs require the removal of the ReleaseQHYCCDResource call of the SDK, otherwise the need to close and reopen Voyager after disconnecting the camera. We have asked QHY for clarification regarding the lack of information on this change to avoid future disruptions to Voyager users
[Bug] Attempts to bring the Sky PA to the value indicated in the case of plate solving of the mount position outside the allowed error limit were incorrectly counted, this could lead to the abortion of the Sequence
[Bug] Application Server -> Webdashboard parsing error in case of sending data with infinite value in the NewJPGReady event
[Bug] Negative angles are not saved in the Camera PA field of the Voyager settings profile, before the transition is made in range 0-360

Thank you for the update.

How do I tell Voyager to always use Beta QHY SDK driver? If there are Beta QHY SDK driver in platform \ QHY \ BETA, does that tell Voyager to always use Beta QHY SDK driver instead of released QHY SDK driver?

Thanks,
Peter

If you use like camera control “QHY CMOS Camera BETA” you will always use Beta SDK. This Beta SDK has a fixed place and is in “platform \ QHY \ BETA \ 32”. We put it inside the last SDK available on the QHY page at the date of the installation creation (release or daily build).

Choose of camera control remain in Profile, so you will have for ever.

All the best
Leonardo

Sounds like a great plan and design.

Peter

Thanks Peter
